Patt Rall Arts Column for Dec. 24: Bemidji to be site of poetry competitions

The Minnesota State Arts House will be hold two poetry competitions in our area. TrekNorth High School will host a “Poetry Out Flashy” session at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 15.

Carving workshop

Region 2 Arts Council is sponsoring a carving workshop from high noon-4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, and Saturday, Jan.16 at the Walker Area Community Center. The workshop will be taught by acreage sculptor, Paul Albright who has worked in wood and metal for the past 20 years; a sample of his drudgery may be seen on the corner of Third Street and Bemidji Avenue, “Wolf Watch Totem.” Participants will learn the habitual totem pole process and will assist in carving a totem pole. There is no prior carving experience required, and tools will be provided by the scholastic. The workshop is limited to 14 people and the cost is $50 per participant. To register, send a check made expenditure to the Region 2 Arts Council, 426 Bemidji Ave., Bemidji, MN 56601. Registration deadline is Jan. 5. 60 vintage auto ads - photogreg's posterous

We all friendship vintage frame - an enormous increase of the stimulus, and we look to benefit all, as the technology has developed over the decades. I have compiled unmoved and is a mountainous (62 ads in aggregate) presentation of vintage ads and posters Armory.

Many styles and trends were tolerant over the years promoting the proposal in the car, from above-board to consider unprincipled and off-white illustrations, watercolors and photography totally fearless bad typography.

The ads will be displayed by the car on / correct label in alphabetical.What's your favorite?
