New Menorah at Vineland's Beth Israel Congregation A Work of Art and Labor of Love

Those entering the area of Beth Israel Congregation in Vineland for Chanukah festivities immediately saw a new menorah, taking the place of the menorah that had been cast-off for a number of years.
What made this beautiful holiday symbol – and the handsome wooden table on which it was sitting – idiosyncratic, however, was its origin. It was not purchased at a Judaica store or given by a member of the congregation. It was crafted personally as a labor of partiality by one of the synagogues custodians, Carlos Lebron.
Lebron, a custodian at the synagogue for the past six and one-half years dedicated the menorah to the thought of Beth Israel Congregation’s Immediate Past-President Bruce Rosenwasser, whose sudden eradication in March, 2008, shocked and saddened Lebron and the entire congregation. Rosenwasser’s widow, Linda, was at the inscription ceremony, which took place in early December.
“Two years ago, I bought my own menorah in the synagogue’s cumshaw shop,” Lebron said, “because I liked what it symbolized.”
When is the best time of year to have a yard sale, more specifically, to sell our used furniture?

We sell some nice items such as an antique dining table and a handmade drawing table. With him so close to Christmas, we are not sure when would be the best time to sell furniture. We will help an ad in the paper listing specific items to draw people from running, but I wonder if waiting for more to spring for something like that. (Although we live in the South and quite warm for winter)

need advice regarding 19 month olds and dining room chairs :-)?

My policy has until now is that if something a "problem" I have simply removed. This has worked well in line my home peaceful, he has however become a problem that I have a very hard time in my 19 months old twins'm with, wherever not toddler proof. They are not so obviously used, with limitations in their environment, that is a problem when I tell them is restricted for their own safety.
One problem is how to climb. I know that climbing is a natural and healthy development milestone, and they have a climbing wall in the living toys.You will need to climb onto the sofa, climbing all over me, etc. I do not want them to climb on the table, though, because it is not safe. They could easily fall off and that's a long drop, and I also have an old piece in an antique frame hanging over the table, and besides, they do not just need to climb anything.
So come on, if they were the chairs for the first time able to climb them.
Now I want my chair back for one, and secondly, I think it is time that they learn that they not only can do what they want all the time.
This is my plan to educate others and the chairs in them that they are not allowed on the table. I'm going to try and divert climbing toy as a last resort use of time, if necessary. They are 19 months old, so I'll give it to timeout in 90 seconds.
My question is, do you think it's best that I do not allow them on the chairs or TIME I tell them that they need to sit your hiney if they are on the chair? They are still sitting in a high chair for meals.
Thank you in advance for your tips! The setup of my house would be very hard to keep them from there.The dining room is like an extension of the living room. I let them play in the living room, dining room and bedroom.

I have a 3 1 / 2 years old and 2 years old twins and FB, we have taken this turn, and while it's nice at home, your right they do not learn to behave in a non-baby friendly environments. We have never removed our chairs, we only have (and still are), they do not tell climb. He works for some time, but it's always those moments when we left the room. I spent a weekend at my FIL's house (my sil and bil live with them with their three children) and noticed that my children sils knew how they behave (particularly with respect to tablecloths) in a way, not mine.I realized that a full child proofing, while easier for us to land, a new set of questions than we are. I plan on reintroducing things to our house that I think they must learn to behave so that they more civilized outside of our house and us out, permanently in a playroom. I would suggest trying to just teach them how to use the methods that have been discussing you and stick with it. You can remove and replace (with a little less expensive) subscription in order to protect it because it is the moments when they succeed, they do it if your not aware of. Good luck.
