DVD hit the market with a bang. It was such a drastic improvement over VHS that it instantly became a must-have product. What wasn't to like? Uncorrupted picture quality, random access, surround sound, convenient size, and tons of bonus features are fair a few things folks flocked to. Everyone, not just gear-lovers, were really excited about the format.
On the other hand, Blu-ray wasn't an overnight sneaking suspicion. Hampered by a shoot-out with HD DVD, it had a slow start. Today, it's finally reaching the same level of market penetration as DVD at the same locale in its product lifetime, but it struggled to get there. Seven percent of American homes have stand-alone Blu-ray players, not including PlayStations. And according to Amazon, 8 of the 10 top selling disc players were Blu-ray, and 5 of the Top 10 movies were Blu-ray . Interestingly, Blu-ray still isn't only popular in the professional video world. I work in post-production, and the vast majority of our clients prerequisite their content on DVD, not Blu-ray.
What is the purpose of the "Coaxial" connection concerning TV/DVD/Digital Converter Box?

I want my TV converter box & DVDs without the usual RCA connection (red, white, yellow fitted). I do not know what the coax "connection is for, I could use it to connect my DVD on my TV / Digital Converter Box? Coax is better than RCA?

The converter boxes all have two coax connectors. One is to connect your TV antenna, can be used the other to connect to your TV antenna input rather than the RCA cable. Connect the coax cable between the transducer output and the TV antenna input and set the TV either channel 3 or 4
In other words, the converter box works like a small TV stations transmit on either channel 3 or 4

No, the RCA cables for better signal quality. Depending on your TV, you may or may not be able to see the difference.
If your TV only has one set of RCA inputs, you might think about buying an A / V switch, and it used to switch between the RCA outputs on your DVD player and converter box.
If your TV has only one coax input, you can use an RF modulator to connect both the DVD and converter to the TV antenna input.

How to connect analog surround sound system to digital tv/dvd player?

My father does not have an old surround sound system (sure which brand), the lines for the individual hook ups to have an older DVD players. He now has a blue ray DVD player and wants to hook up the old speakers, so you do. Is there a device that allows this, or he needs a new set of speakers to buy?
There should be a red-white-jack on the DVD player and surround sound system if the two you should be able to connect sound through the speakers connected. it should be labeled something like auxiliary input / output. the red is for the right channel, white for the left. if both a 5 or 6-jack input / output has to be, then you can do, surround sound by using the corresponding colors.

I bought this generosity as a Christmas treat for my parents. The only rationale I have for this ideal of television that I was a last instant shoppers, and it was the only marker with a digital TV tuner in a finger-tips for non-alphabetical to the concept.
