Oily serpentine belt, wobbly Ram vex readers

Q: I have a 2000 Ford Indistinct wagon that is leaking oil onto the serpentine belt, causing it to slip. I replaced the oil cover gasket and PCV valve, but no chances. My problem started when I drove it from Florida back to the cold in Ohio for a funeral. It has 180,000 miles on it and runs famed otherwise. I took it to a Ford dealer who charged me $400 and didn't fix the problem. I did get my money back. I'm working with a thin repair budget and deprivation to get it fixed so I can get back to work in outside sales. I drive about 150 miles every day. Any suggestions?
A: The oil leak is coming from either the cam post seal or the crank shaft seal. It's very often that timing belt jobs done at my shop get new cam and crank seals as part of the programmed job. The oil on the timing belt will certainly shorten its life, and possibly cause engine damage if and when it fails. If you requisite to pinpoint the leak exactly, a fluorescent engine dye can be added to the engine oil and, using a black light, you can pinpoint the seeping.

How do I make my calipers look good?

I'll buy som alloy wheels, and I realized that would be if I did, my disc brake calipers, an eye sore. They are really rusty and covered in crap! How do I get all that rust, and I paint them? Would that look good on stock calipers?

To clean wire brush and solvent. Caliper paint is sold at the parts store. No one is powder-coated calipers, unless they have been completely disassembled and all parts completely cleaned and dried with non-flammable solvent. How much risk of fire in the stove. They can be polished if they are made of aluminum, but more work to keep clean. Chrome? Not really even an option, call a chrome shop and ask for the full explanation. Your best bet is to paint the caliper to make cheap and easy to do, and if needed, new brake calipers, easily again. Do not forget to do at the hub of the rotor a good finished appearance.

In painting my calipers next week. I have a white 1995 Holden Commodore sedan sitting on 5-spoke 18''chromies. I was opting for the red color, but just wanted to see, what would they think you look good.
Stick with the red - a proven concept in many cars.
