COAL Bishopric – Nicole Ulivi has been a dedicated member of Angels of Hope for several years, but Sunday night was the first notwithstanding she publicly told the story of her son, Gavin, who died after only three days of life.
Ulivi told a crowd of more than 200 her romance during Angels of Hope's fifth annual Remembrance Vigil at Campbell Memorial Park in Coal Diocese. The park is the home of the Angel of Hope statue, where parents can gather to remember the children they have lost.
In late 2005, Ulivi found out she was fertile with a boy, whom she would later found out through testing had Trisomy 13, a "non-life compatible disease." She was told her son may not make it to his due date and, if he did, his sustenance would only be a few hours long.
